VirtualDivorce.com™
Complete your divorce from anywhere!™
Is a virtual divorce the same as a regular divorce?
Yes, it’s exactly the same. Your case gets filed with the same court, and it’s the same judge that grants your divorce. You don’t have to travel to the courthouse, pay to park, or wait to stand before the judge. You also don’t have to drive to a lawyer’s office or to a notary’s office. The entire process is done 100% online. And best of all, we manage it all for you allowing you to be anywhere else you want to be.
How does it work?
It’s simple. Just upload the final version of your divorce paperwork. You and your spouse will meet with an online notary to sign and notarize the paperwork. Your online notary appointment can be done together or separately. We will then e-file all the paperwork with the court.
So does VirtualDivorce.com™ do everything for me?
Yes. VirtualDivorce.com™ has arranged all the services you need into a simple step-by-step process. The attorney and the notary are available and provide all the services you need 100% online. You do not have to go anywhere. That’s why we created VirutalDivorce.com® so that you and your spouse can do your part from anywhere.
What’s the total cost of divorce using the VirtualDivorce.com™ process?
Step 1:
Paperwork – If you already have your paperwork, the attorney will review your paperwork for $75 to ensure it is appropriate for Virtual Divorce.™ The $75 fee is waived if your documents were drafted by an approved Virtual Divorce™ Attorney. If needed, a Virtual Divorce™ Attorney can draft all your paperwork for a single payment of $195. You have an option to pay the attorney via two payments of $99.
Step 2:
$45 – All documents are digitized and setup for remote signing. All your documents are signed and notarized via a remote online notary session. The price is a flat fee $45 for each online notary session regardless of the number of notary stamps needed. Each spouse must complete a remote notary session and will sign all the documents in one session.
Step 3:
$75 – Court E-filing. A Virtual Attorney will e-file your paperwork with the court. The Virtual Attorney will manage the court process for you. You will be required to pay the mandatory court filing fee at the time of E-filing unless you qualify for a filing fee waiver provided to you as part of the service. Only low-income and indigent persons qualify for a court fee waiver. The court filing fee varies by state and can vary by county as well.
What’s the difference between VirtualDivorce.com™ and online divorce?
Online divorce is most often a misleading term that refers to the drafting of your divorce paperwork online. Most online divorce providers are not attorneys. Virtual Divorce™ however is truly a 100% online divorce process. There is nothing to print. There is no traveling to an office or court. Please review the VirtualDivorce.com™ comparison chart for complete details.
